ABOUT US

Vision & Values

Our Vision

Bungendore Anglican aims to be a Christ centred, welcoming church,
growing in our love for God, each other, and our community
.
Loving like Jesus, we strive to live out our purpose with compassion and understanding,
strengthening and equipping Christian disciples for growth, leadership, and blessing.

Our Values

Love.
We value expressing and growing a healthy balance of love for God, for each other, and for the wider community.
Fruit.
We value and practise the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) in our character and working relationships with one another.
Listening.
We value listening because listening expresses love, helps us to understand one another, and helps us to hear and share the gospel.
Wisdom.
We value seeking God’s wisdom over and above any other. We seek God’s wisdom through prayer, studying and applying the Bible together, and learning orthodox belief.
Leadership.
We value showing Christ-like leadership. Jesus exemplified, equipped, and empowered others to do his Kingdom work.
Humility.
We value Christ-like humility. Jesus, who was in very nature God did not exploit power or seek selfish interests but exemplified humility, obedience, and servitude for the good of others (Philippians 2:1-11).
Honesty.
We value honesty over performance or perfection. Honesty hastens repentance, change, and genuine relationships.
Community.
We value nurturing relationships and community because in life together we as disciples we are made to bring glory to the Triune God.
Discipleship.
We value discipleship because Christ made disciples who were to then to go on and make other disciples in Christ’s image. The heart and plan of God is that we are being conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29).
Gospel.
We value the gospel, the good news that Christ became all that we are so that we may be all that he is. The gospel is the heart of our message and mission.

Our Parish Prayer

Lord Jesus, may you be at the heart of who we are and what we do.
Grow us in your love and help us to love what you love.
May your purpose be our purpose.
Build us into a welcoming community of your disciples.
Amen.

Who We Are

We are Christians who gather together for worship, discipleship and belonging. We connect in with the Anglican Parish of Bungendore, which is a part of the Canberra and Goulburn Diocese.

A Parish is a collective term for the area where our church communities are found. Our parish is made up of three Anglican churches in Bungendore, Carwoola (Primrose Valley) and Hoskinstown in New South Wales. The word parish has the ancient and spiritual connotation for defining the church as sojourners and families alongside their local communities. Being a parish shapes a special and intentional heart for our location.

OurParish Prayer

Mosaic

Our Mosaic logo was inspired by a Good Friday service in 2015 where we gathered around a large wooden cross. The logo resembles togetherness and brokenness gathering around the cross of Easter.

ord Jesus, may you be at the heart of who we are and what we do.
Grow us in your love and help us to love what you love.
uild us into a welcoming community of your disciples.
