I’m new here (or I’m just thinking about coming along for the first time) and I have questions!
- Where is guest parking? There is plenty of parking at all of our services. At the Scout Hall off street parking is available to the left side of the building. There are also a number of car parking spaces across the road from the Scout Hall. At St Philip’s there is ample parking on Gibraltar Street.
- What is there for my kids to do? Sunday School for Primary aged children takes place during the 10:00 AM service at the Scout Hall. Parents are asked to sign in their children as they leave the service (usually around 10:15 AM to go out to their activities. The children rejoin the adult service near the end which is normally 11:00 AM.
- Can I get a coffee at church? Absolutely. We don’t have espresso right now however we do have some pretty good “coffee bags”. There is usually a great morning tea right after the 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM services too!
- How do I join the church? There is no formal joining process however you need to believe that the Holy Scripture is God’s inspired word and includes the Old and the New Testament. It’s then a good idea to make a time for a chat with Mike about partaking in the Sacrament of Baptism, what this means and why it is important.
- How do I join a weekday or evening group? Small Groups are always the very best way to connect in. Talk to Mike, Chloe or one of the service leaders about this and they will guide you. The purpose and format of the groups can vary a bit so its a good idea to have some direction as to what will be the best fit for you. Whatever you decide, you are assured of a warm welcome.
- Why do you have two different services in Bungendore? We recognise that as humans we are all different. Some folk prefer a traditional form of Sunday worship with weekly communion and song, while others enjoy a more contemporary style of worship led by worship leaders and with modern music. The worship and style may be different, but it’s the one God we worship.
- How do I get involved in a ministry area such as music, morning tea duty or volunteering at the Op Shop? Catch up with Mike or one of our Ministry Leaders, or put your name on the volunteers board (available at 10:00 AM Sunday service). For the Op Shops talk to Chloe. Alternatively send us a message via our contact page.
- What denomination is this church affiliated with? We are a part of the Anglican Church of Australia. Check out the “About Us” page on this website and you will find plenty of information and helpful links.
- How do I contact the church for a particular need? Whether this be for a wedding or something else the best thing is to talk to Mike or Chloe. Contact them using the details (contact form/email/phone) here.
